Parents of Students with Disabilities

Parents can and should become effective partners with schools in the planning and implementing of the IEP.  I am committed to helping parents of children with disabilities to become full participants in their children's educational process.

I believe that parents have unique information about the development, nature, and needs of their children, and advocate that parents be recognized as partners in the planning and implementing of their children's education.

Give positive feedback to school staff regularly.
Get involved at your child’s school. Communicate regularly with teachers. Read your child’s progress reports. Bring questions, concerns & praise to parent/teacher conferences. Remember, this is all about positive outcomes for your child!
